Wesley Summers

Wesley “Wes” Claiborne Summers passed away at West Memorial Hospital in Katy, on Friday, Dec. 4, 2015 at 8:47 a.m. at the age of 63.
Wes was born in Port Lavaca, on June 17, 1952. He graduated from Escola, SaoPaulo, Brasil in 1970 and went on to earn a Law Enforcement Certificate in 1984, an Associates Degree of Elective Studies in 1989 and an Associates Degree in Instrumentation Technology in 1994 from Brazosport College in Clute. He worked 26 years for Phillips 66 refinery in Sweeny in various capacities and retired in 2002. After retirement he developed his skills as a designer and worked for various companies as an electrical designer. He was currently working as a Senior Electrical Designer for Mustang Woodgroup in Katy.
Wes enjoyed reading, camping, family outings and going on various travel adventures with his wife, Lydia and their two dogs Frodo and Freya.
Wes is predeceased by his father and mother, Harold and Doris Summers of Edna.
Wes is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Lydia Summers. They were married at the Vanderbilt Church of Christ in Vanderbilt, on June 30, 1972. He is also survived by his brother, Quincy Summers and wife Georgia Summers of Los Angeles.
Wes is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Cresta Ware with husband Joe Ware of Angleton Skye Sargent with husband Kristopher Sargent of Lake Jackson, and Devon Powers with husband David Powers of College Station; and 11 grandchildren, Ryan Ware age 23, Bailey Weber age 19, Clayton Weber age 16, Abbigail Sargent age 15, Camden Sargent age 14, Garrett Sargent age 14, Trace English age 11, Natalie Powers age 9, Jack Dalton Ware age 7, Kate Powers age 5 and Cason Powers age 3; also brother-in-law, Jack Benjamin Tucker of Edna, and many other family and friends who have been a very special part of his life.
Wes wanted burial by cremation, so a memorial service was held at the Sweeny Church of Christ on the block of 5th and Elm St. in Sweeny on Saturday, Dec. 12, at 10 a.m. If you wish to send flowers, please send to this location as well.

Lucy Craft

Lucy Jane Craft, 97, passed away on Dec. 3, 2015. She was born June, 12, 1918 in Morales, to Edwin Thompson and Lillie Roberta Gipson Thompson. 
She was preceded in death by parents; husband, William Craft; daughters, Rosie Jones and Hazel Craft; sisters, Mary Ella and Edith Thompson, and Earnestine Brown; brothers, Edwin, Collie, I.G, and E.T Thompson. 
To cherish her memory she leaves daughters, Carrie Brigham, Bernice Lawson, and Prince Ella Reathi; sisters, Estelle Hines, Lula Randle, and Hattie Gilmore; nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be at Cook-Butler Funeral Home in El Campo, Friday, Dec. 11, from 4t o 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 12, 11 a.m. at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in El Campo with burial to follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Edna.

August Malcik

August "Gus" Malcik, 89, of Ganado passed away on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015. He was born on Jan. 18, 1926 in Cistern to the late Louis and Philomena Psencik Malcik. 
Gus served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He retired from Texaco. 
Survivors include his wife, Irene Kahanek Malcik.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and four sisters.
Visitation was Sunday, Dece. 13, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Ganado Funeral Home, with a rosary being recited at 5 p.m. Funeral services will be Monday, Dec. 14 at 10 a.m. at the Assumption Catholic Church in Ganado, with Rev. Michael Lyons officiating. Interment will be in the Assumption Catholic Cemetery. Military honors will be performed by the Ganado American Legion Post #346. 
The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to; Assumption Catholic Church or Ganado American Legion Post #346.
Funeral services are entrusted to Russell Todish of the Ganado Funeral Home, 361-771-2120.

Herman Glen Schoenfeld

Herman Glen Schoenfeld, 73, passed away, Monday, Dec. 14, 2015. He was born Feb. 2, 1942 in Ganado to Herman and Clara Schoenfeld.
Glen graduated from Southwest Texas College (Texas State). Glen worked as a teacher/coach/counselor  in Victoria, Refugio, Ganado and Edna. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Ganado. He is survived by his wife, Patsy, and a brother Ray Schoenfeld. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, Dec. 16, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Ganado Funeral Home, 800 So. Third St. Funeral services will be Thursday, Dec. 17 at 10 a.m. at the St. James Lutheran Church, with Pastor Chris Heinold officiating. Interment will follow in the Ganado Assumption Catholic Cemetery.

Doris Bowen

Doris L. Bowen, of Edna, has received her angel wings and has flown off to Heaven on Monday, Dec. 14, 2015, at the age of 79. She was born Sept. 22, 1936, in Collegeport, Texas, to the late Melvin Roy Smith and Mable Christian Smith.
Doris was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be missed dearly. She was a stay at home mother and housewife her entire life.
She is survived by her daughters, Virgie Wiegand and her husband Catfish “Craig” of Edna, and Alice “Tutti” Nottingham of Edna; step-daughter, Rita Marie Canion and her husband Wayne of Cotulla; sons, David Len Bowen and his wife Judy of Beeville, Monty Bowen and his wife Maxine of Rockport, Roger Dale Bowen of Rosharon; step-son, Jack Earl Myers and his wife Teresa of Beeville; sisters, Mary Lou Thurman, Gail Helwig and Joyce Cochran; brothers, Melvin Roy Smith, Jr., Charlie Wayne Smith and Franklin Smith; 22 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and many more loving family members and friends.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Virgil Green Bowen; daughters, Joanna Lee Hieman and Sonja Jean Bowen; son, Gaylon Roy Bowen; sister, Francis Smith; brothers, Alfred Smith and Tommy Smith.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 18, from 9 to 11 a.m., with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m., in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel in Edna. Rev. George Tompkins will be officiating. Burial to follow in the Hawley Cemetery in Blessing. 
Pallbearers will be Jasper Lee Bowen, Jason Nottingham, Wes Ward Wiegand, Wade Alan Wiegand, James Micheal Bruce and Coy Allan Boone.

Michelle Hamilton Raybon

Michelle Hamilton Raybon, of Victoria, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015, at the young age of 29. She was born June 4, 1986, in San Antonio, to Edward and Phyllis Hamilton.
She taught at Edna Elementary School, and dearly loved her students and colleagues. Michelle was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Quincy Raybon; parents, Edward and Phyllis Hamilton; mother in law, Pam Bures Raybon; brother, Edward (Aaron) Hamilton and his wife Sarah; grandparents, Wendell and Jean Hamilton, Philene Whitfill; nephew and niece, Gaige and Aubrey Raybon; god-daughter, Evelyn Raybon and many more loving family members and friends.
Michelle is preceded in death by her grandfather, Jerry Whitfill; father in law, Dusty Raybon.
Visitation was held on Sunday, Dec. 20, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel in Edna. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, Dec. 21, at 10 a.m. in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Adam Knapp and Pastor Buck will be officiating. Burial to follow in the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Edna. 
In lieu of flowers, monetary gifts may be sent to the Michelle Hamilton Raybon Memorial Scholarship Fund, checks can be sent to the Jackson County Federal Teachers Credit Union at 309 North Allen St., Edna, TX 77957. John Allen Slay

John Allen Slay, of Inez, left our world to be with his maker on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015 at the age of 79. He was born in Raymondville on June 5, 1936, to the late Elmer Slay and Clara Slay. The family settled in Sweeny in the 1940’s.
John was a 1954 graduate of Sweeny High School and briefly attended The University of Texas, He was a die-hard Longhorn and Texans fan. He loved all sports and made sure to attend all his grandchildren’s sporting events. He was a Ganado Indian and El Campo Ricebird fan.
John married the love of his life, Deloris Shutt Slay, on March 23, 1958. He worked for Missouri Pacific Railroad for 12 years, then hired on with Phillips Petro Company and settled in Sweeny. After leaving Phillips in the late 1970’s. He owned and operated The Western Auto Store in Sweeny. John was involved in many organizations. He served as President of the Lions Club, Jaycees and the Sweeny Chamber of Commerce while also serving on the Sweeny Hospital Board. In 1982, he and Deloris moved to Inez. He kept busy with various jobs including making wooden crafts for a business his niece created.
He is survived by his loving wife, Deloris Slay; daughters, Sandra Engelmohr and her husband Harry of Ganado, Sharon Kruppa and her husband Brian of El Campo; grandchildren, Kaylan Beard and friend Rick Dobiyanski, Cody Engelmohr and wife Melinda, Brady Engelmohr and wife Mallory, Casie Kruppa and Clint Kruppa; three great-grandchildren, Cory and Cali Beard and Ella Engelmohr and an extended family member Brianna Vidaurri, CNA, who cared for him so lovingly and he referred to her as his third daughter.
John is preceded in death by both parents; sister, Billie Beverly, baby sister, Shirley Ann Slay and brother, Louis Slay. 
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Dec. 27, from 1-3 p.m. with a funeral service to begin at 3 p.m., in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel in Edna. Burial to follow in the Memory Gardens Cemetery of Edna. Chaplain Larry Green will be officiating.
Pallbearers will be Cody Engelmohr, Brady Engelmohr, Clint Kruppa, Judge Beverly, Raymond Born and Clifford Born.

Shirley Sbrusch
Shirley Jean Sbrusch, of Edna, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, at the age of 70. She was born Dec. 29, 1945, in Morales, to the late William M. Gates and Lillie Mae Utz Gates.
Shirley was a housewife for several years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be truly missed.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Karen Fojtik and her husband Robert; son, Kelly Sbrusch and his wife Joyce all of Edna; sisters, Willie Mae Marthiljohni, Ruby Summers, Eveyln Michaelki; brothers, Billy Gates, Ronnie Gates, Daniel Gates; grandchildren, Clinton Sbrusch, Blake Sbrusch and Brittany Carroll, Trent and Lindsey Fojtik, Katie Fojtik and Derek Hicks, Hannah Taylor; great-grandchildren, Addison Fojtik, and Heidi Hicks.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alfonse Sbrusch, Jr.; and sister, Patricia (Pasty) Merrill.
Visitation was held on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, from 5 to 7 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m., in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass was held on Monday, Jan. 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., in the Assumption Catholic Church in Ganado. Reverend Michael Lyons will be officiating.

Virginia Charlene "Char" Girndt

Virginia Charlene "Char" Girndt, 83, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016. She was born Nov. 4, 1932 in Huntsville, Texas to JC and Emma Gavin Roberts. 
She retired from teaching at Ganado Elementary after 30 years. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Jackson County EEA, and the Crossroads Emmaus Community.
Char is survived by her son Joe and Lei Ann Girndt of Ganado, her son-in-law Carl Korth of Victoria, her granddaughter Elizabeth Girndt and her grandsons Craig and Joy Girndt and Bobby Graham.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bobby, her daughter Janet Korth and her son Scott Girndt.
The family will receive visitors from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016 at Ganado Funeral Home. Services will be Monday, Jan. 11 at St. James Lutheran Church in Ganado with Rev. Chris Heinold officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Ganado Cemetery.

Blair Francene Boyd, 28 of Rockport, went to be with God on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016. Blair was born on Jan. 1, 1988 in Port Lavaca to Anthony D. Marek and Lisa F. Hase.
Blair is survived by her parents, her son Izaiah Perez, her brother Jacob Boyd and wife Tess of Corpus Christi and her sister Megan Goodwin of Corpus Christi.
Graveside services were held Saturday, January 9 at 10 a.m. at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Edna.

Cecil Don "Donnie" Fenner

Cecil Don 'Donnie' Fenner, of Edna, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016 at the age of 85. He was born in Cordele, Texas on June 1, 1930, to the late Oscar Brenhurst ('O. B.') Fenner and Leta Brigham Fenner.
Donnie was a retired rice farmer and rancher in northern Jackson County. Donnie was active for many years in Farm Bureau. He received a Texas Farm Bureau Pioneer Award in 2008 to reflect his impact on the organization over the years. He joined the Jackson County Farm Bureau in 1955 and through the years since that time has served as president, vice president and secretary-treasurer of the organization. At the state level, he served as a member of the Resolutions and Legislative committees and he chaired the Rice Committee. He was director of Edna Rice Elevators and served on various rice related committees.
He was a former director of the Lavaca-Navidad River Authority. He was a graduate of Texas A&I and veteran of the United States Air Force.
Donnie loved being around boats and lakes. He had a home in Lakeway for many years and could be found there almost every weekend until very late in his life. He and his wife went on cruises all over the world, with his favorite being on board the QE2 in Europe for the 50th anniversary of D-Day.
Donnie is survived by his loving wife, Fern Barron Fenner; his son, Charles Oscar ('Charlie') Fenner of Houston; his sister, Marjorie Nell Bolling of Houston; his daughter-in-law, Nancy Koch Fenner of El Campo; and his three grandchildren, Scott Fenner Jr., Jonathan Fenner and Natalie Tsavachidou Fenner.
Donnie was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Scott Fenner; his sister, LaNoe Scherer and his brother, O.B. Fenner, Jr.
Following a private family burial service, a public memorial service will be held on Monday, Jan. 11 at 11 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church of Edna. Rev. Adam Knapp will officiate. Refreshments will be served at the church following the service.
Memorials may be made to the C.O. Fenner Charitable Foundation, 1970 County Road 229, Ganado, TX 77962, the First United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 790, Edna, TX 77957, or another charity of the donor's choice.

Wesley Hendry

Wesley Hendry, of Lolita, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016 at the age of 46. He was born in Port Lavaca on Dec. 10, 1969, to Harry and Betty Hendry.
qWesley worked at Formosa Plastics for 18 years. He was a volunteer fire fighter and Little League coach in Lolita. He was a loving son, husband, father, and friend who will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cinde Brandt Hendry; parents, Harry and Betty Conn Hendry; daughters, Brianna Hendry and Denae Castellano; son, Colby Hendry; and soon-to-be grandson, Baby Luke. 
Wesley is preceded in death by his sister, Carlene Hendry. 
Visitation will be held on Monday, Jan. 11 from 5 to 7 p.m., in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 12 at 1 p.m., in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel in Edna. Burial to follow in the Red Bluff Cemetery of Lolita. Rev. Gary Thedford will be officiating.
Pallbearers are Scott Maresh, Donnie White, Donnie Schumaker, Davie Conn, Tracker Conn, Michael Malone, and Blaine Joines. Honorary pallbearers are Lolita Volunteer Fire Department and his Formosa family.

Rebecca G. Garza Ocanas, 79, of Victoria, formerly of Brenham, passed away on Monday, Jan. 11, 2016. She was born on Nov. 6, 1936 to Felipe and Baldomera Garza in Runge.
Rebecca is survived by her husband, Gregorio Ocanas, Sr., her children Linda Guizar, Greg Ocanas, Mary Cortes, Eddie Ocanas and their spouses, 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one sister and two brothers.
She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one sister, and one granddaughter.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Slavik Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 14 at Slavik Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Edna Latin America Cemetery.

Blanche Rab Boone

Blanche Rab Boone, of Edna, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016 at the age of 52. She was born in Ganado on Jan. 10, 1964 to Lonnie and Mattie Wiegand Rab.
Blanche is survived by her husband, Coy Boone; parents, Lonnie and Mattie Rab; daughters, Maurica Camille McLennan and Kelsey Ann McLennan; brothers, Stephen Rab and his wife Pam of Edna and Michael Rab and his wife Kim of Victoria; granddaughters, Allyssa McLennan, Rylea Ramirez and Analysa Cantu and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend who will be truly missed.  
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Jan. 17, from 5 to 7 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m., in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel in Edna. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, Jan. 18, at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Agnes Catholic Church in Edna with the Rev. Gary Janak officiating. A burial will be held at a later date.
Pallbearers will be Jeffery Flanagan, Dustin Flanagan, Dylan Rab, Dutch Rab, Mason Stansberry and Lucas Brzozowski.

Marionell Smothers

Marionell Hemmi Smothers, 83, of Hallettsville, passed away Jan. 15, 2016. She was born on Dec. 31, 1932 to Lutzie and Myrtle Phelps Hemmi in Lavaca County. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hallettsville.
Marionell is survived by sons, Kenneth J. Smothers of Columbus, and Steve Smothers of San Marcos; daughter Sheryl Fabrygel of Hallettsville; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Marionell was preceded in death by her husband Leon; parents; brother Carl W. Hemmi; and sisters, Lucille Gerdes and Marjorie Fietsam.
Visitation will be at 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 18 at Kubena Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10 am, Tuesday, Jan. 19, at First Baptist Church of Hallettsville. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery.

Kenneth Peterson

Kenneth Lee Peterson, 86, of Palacios passed away Jan. 13, 2016. He was surrounded by his loving family, who prayed in thankfulness to God for the gift of this wonderful, cherished Christian man. 
He was born on Jan. 25, 1929 in Jackson County, Texas, to the late Emil Peterson and Alice Slaughter Peterson. He was a 1947 graduate of the last graduating class of LaWard High School and he proudly served our country from 1951 to 1953 in the United States Army. 
On June 10, 1955, Kenneth married Rita Chamberlain, a faithful union that lasted 60 years. Kenneth was a longtime member of the Palacios Church of Christ. He was retired from Alcoa; and he enjoyed raising cattle, working outside, and reading. His family was his most valued earthly treasure. He loved them deeply and unconditionally. He cherished time spent with each and every family member, and was fiercely proud of all of them. 
Kenneth was blessed with two children, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. They all will miss him greatly and will proudly carry on his legacy. He was also proud of his community where he was well known and respected. 
He is preceded in death by his siblings, Ludvig Peterson, Charlie Peterson, Mary Bannert and Leta Kelly. 
He is survived by his wife, Rita Chamberlain Peterson of Palacios; daughter Teresa Kay Blanchette and husband Tim of Blessing; son Bryant E. Peterson and wife Debra K. of Francitas; grandchildren Ingrid Lee Ryman, Karin Kay Blanchette, Kristen Lyn Perez, Jessie Cheyenne Peterson and Kanyon Bryant Peterson; great-grandchildren Hunter Lee Ryman, Nicole Ray Ryman, Devin Lee Perez and Ethan David Perez. 
Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 14 at the Palacios Funeral Home. Funeral service was Friday, Jan. 15 at 10 a.m. at the Palacios Funeral Home with Brother Shan Jackson officiating and Paul Purswell leading congregational singing. Interment followed at Olivia Cemetery. 
Pallbearers were Jason Hayden, Gary Brady, Cliff Curtner, Kurt Killebrew, Victor Eggemeyer and Tom Johnson. Honorary pallbearers were Tim Blanchette, Kenneth Ryman, David Perez, Kanyon Peterson, and Paul Hunt.

Shirley J. Tuttle, 76, passed away Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born Nov. 1, 1939 in Hope, Lavaca County to the late Robert Leroy Collins and Cecil Adelia Wilkerson Collins.
She was a former member of Robinson Street Church of Christ in Edna and a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.
Survivors are daughters, Sherri Gonzalez (Joe) of San Antonio, Kristi Tuttle (Eddie Holland) of Hochheim and Connie Marek of Edna; son, Trent Tuttle (Jerica) of Maplesville, Ala.; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Glenda Dollery of Mason, Tx.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband JR Tuttle; grandson, Jarred Hohensee.
Visitation is from 9 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 20, at Thiele Cooper Funeral Home with funeral service at 11 a.m., with Donnie D’Herde officiating. Burial to follow at Salem Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Trent Tuttle, Kaleb Tuttle, Eddie Holland, Chism Cassity, Cody Dollery and Joe Gonzalez.
Memorials may be given to Ovarian Cancer or Diabetes Research.

Carla Ann Thompson, 61, Passed away Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016. She was born June 26,1954, in Corpus Christi to  Carl and Margret Odom.
Carla is survived by her, sons, Chandler Thompson and wife Sharon, and Eric Lee Thompson; sisters, Wanda McLaughlin and Debbie Pittman and also brothers, Nelson and Steven Odom. 
Preceded in death are her parents and a brother, Stan Odom.
Graveside services were Saturday, Jan. 23, at 10 a.m. at the Lolita Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Happy Tails or Lolita First Baptist Church.
Services are under the direction of Slavik Funeral Home, Edna, 361-782-2152.

Bonnie Siecko

Bonnie Fay Siecko 50, passed away Jan. 23, 2016. She was born July 28, 1965, in Ganado to the late Halton and Mary Kutchka Siecko. Bonnie was a co-owner of Cowboy BBQ in Edna with her husband Tommy Yarbrough.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Tommy Yarbrough; sisters, Audrey Sprague and husband Hardy, Sandra Patterson and husband Wayne and Elaine James and husband David; brothers, Authur Ray Siecko and wife Diane, and Michael Siecko.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Jan. 25, at the  Slavik Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Jan. 26, at 10 a.m. at the Morales Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Lynn officiating. Interment will follow at the Speaks Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Cory Siecko, Cory Siecko, Jr., Jessie James, Cody James, Kody Salles, Neil Morris, Dillion Hilgart, and ryan James. Honorary pallbearers are Tom Poole and Burr Stafford.

Evert "BoBo" Wiegand

Evert Earl 'BoBo' Wiegand, of Edna, passed away on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016 at the age of 80. He was born in Edna, on Feb. 20, 1935, to the late Dutch Wiegand and Mattie Cleveland Wiegand.
Evert was a one-of-a-kind man who touched the hearts of everyone that he met. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend who will be truly missed.
BoBo is survived by his loving daughter, Kim Fojtik and her husband Kenneth; son, Earl 'Bubba' Wiegand; sisters, Ruth Reckaway, Mattie Rab and her husband Lonnie; grandchildren, Emma Jane Wiegand, Evert Neil Wiegand, and Brendalyn Fojtik.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley Wilmore Wiegand; sisters, Flora Lee Moore, Nellie Whittley, Betty Cunningham, and Patsy Jackson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Jan. 25, from 12 to 2 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel in Edna with the Rev. George Tompkins officiating. Burial to follow in the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Edna.
Pallbearers will be Michael Rab, Stephen Rab, Billy Wayne Moore, Travis Simons, Will Ulbricht, and Terry Broussard.
